Manual handling
This course provides the knowledge needed to understand the risks and dangers associated with manual handling in order to avoid costly injuries to yourself and, if you are an employer, your members of staff.
Course Overview
Research shows that 1/3 of all work-related injuries are a result of manual handling, with back injuries the biggest cause of staff absence in the UK.
It is a legal requirement to provide manual handling training in situations where staff carry out lifting, lowering, pulling or pushing, all of which can carry a serious level of risk.
This practical course demonstrates both good and bad techniques, all of which feature in live sessions. Delegates will get hands on with examples of good posture and stance, as well as find out how to best optimise their centre of gravity.
Impartial Examinations are undertaken under the control of UK Certification and this is separate from any Training Activity.
